Sermon System Youtube Integration

Would be awesome to have a feature where the sermon system automatically pulls content from a church’s YouTube channel/playlist by using the RSS feed to create sermon entries. This would include the video, title, and thumbnail for each new upload.
Provide an option to either:
Auto-publish new entries, or
Save them as drafts for manual review and publishing
This could help churches streamline their sermon publishing workflow and keep their website up to date with minimal effort.

We're thinking that if you have your youtube connected when you go to click New Sermon that you could chose sync from youtube. You'd select the video and then we'd create from that ideally grabbing the audio, video, thumbnail and description. You'd simply add the Series and Channel and click save.
Thoughts?

Paul Cox sounds great to me. A couple of nice to haves on top of that:
• Ability to set defaults for 'sync from youtube' imports. Things like series channel and contributor/speaker. For us, these stay the same for several weeks. It would be just one less tedious thing.
• Use AI to auto suggest a caption/description for the sermon based on the transcript
• Option to have the importer watch a specific playlist and auto import when a new YouTube video is added to that playlist.

Paul Cox would love this, I would add that we have a YouTube playlist for each series, so to have that automatically pull would be great too. But not necessary just a thought.
This would be a big help!

Paul Cox Yes I think this is a good format. I know we upload to the same YouTube page videos that would be on different channels on the website, so when selecting the video being able to choose that would be good too. Love this idea though!

This would be great. Another great option would be to be able to pull the audio from the youtube channel and that way that also gets added to the episode.

I do love this.

Paul Cox YouTube allows to assign a playlist as a podcast. Wondering if it generates a RSS feed that contains both video and audio content, as well as the other metadata, not sure! Perhaps this could be a starting point? Automating this process would be amazing!!
