This should be fixed now. It should be based on what you are focused on now. So if you are in a text editor it will be text but if text isn't focused then it will default to cycling through changes to the item.

Would agree. In my limited trial of Church Co, I'm a bit surprised at how cmd-z is behaving. I expect it to undo my last edit to the site (such as removing a block), but instead what it seems to do is the last text edit. I find it confusing.

Andrew Stutesman we'll look into this. I believe it depends on what you have selected. As in if you are actively in a text block it behaves like a normal undo of the last text change. If you don't have anything selected it is like clicking the undo button at the top of the page which cycles back through all changes made.
